What Google Doesn’t Tell You About Amy and Laurie Lovestory

In Little Women, it is said that when Laurie began to fall in love with Amy “he was fueled with new life”. He ditches the failed opera and begins to long for earnest work. He goes to a church (I still don’t know if Laurie was Catholic) which indicates that he is self-exploring, not just his love affairs, but he is having a moment of self-reflection of what he wants from life.

Throughout the novel, Laurie is said to be a character who is more controlled by his emotions than his sense. He is impulsive and easily agitated, but this is when he starts to become calmer and more mature and balanced.
