Christina: I have always felt that Friedrich and Beth were really similar. I think they have the same zodiac. I think they are both Cancers.

Niina: Do you want to know a fun fact?

Christina: Sure

Niina: Henry David Thoreau was Cancer.

Christina: Yes! I was trying to figure out everybody’s Birthdays from the story and I remember thinking “I am just going to look at the people they are based off to help me”. I think with Amy and Beth, when I tried to look it up, all I got “oh this is the year they were born. I didn’t get the month. Jo she was born in November. She is Sagittarious but I had hard time finding what the certain characters are. so I had to check out their birthdays.

Niina: Cancer is a water sign. A new head canon.

Christina: My mom is a Sagittarious. That is why I feel pretty certain that Jo is a Sagittarious. They have similar features.

Niina: Yes, I think Jo is Sagittarious or Scorpio.

Christina: I would have said that Jo was a Scorpio, but when I checked it, she was born in the end of November making her Sagittarious.

Niina: Okay.

Christina: Louisa May Alcott was a Sagittarious, that is why people think that Jo is Sagittarius too.

Niina: Then it must be true. I am a Virgo. I was just born in the moment when Leo turns into Virgo and I always thought, I am a little bit of a Leo, because of that.

Christina: I am Picses. Aries comes after that but I don’t feel like I am much on an Aries. When I went to look at Sagittarious. It is a fire sing and other fire signs are Aries but also Leo, which is what I thought Amy is, because May Alcott was Leo.

Niina: Aaah. I love that

Christina: So it sort of makes sense to me why the two of them butt heads. They are both fire sings.

Niina: That makes a lot of sense.

Christina: Also why both Jo and Amy get along with Meg and Beth because Meg is a Pisces. She was born in February, if I remember correctly. Meg and Beth are water signs and then Jo and Amy are fire signs.

Niina: This explains everything in Little Women!

Christina: One of the things you never expected obviously is from this ranking is the position of the zodiac!

Niina: I don’t know if this true. I have had quite a few people in the comments writing me that they think Laurie is a Gemini. It can be true. Gemini is an air sign, and their moods can switch pretty fast.

Christina: I remember reading one study on that and they had put him as an Aquarious and that is another air sign. It is funny that you say Gemini because when I looked up his birthday it was around Aquarious between January and February, but that is also an air sign.

Niina: He is definitely an air sign then.

Christina: It makes sense in the terms of the relationships between the characters.

Niina: I will add the birthdays to the show notes when we find them.

Christina: One of the reasons I think he is Aquarius, is when I read the personality for a man, it said rebellious, charismatic and spontanious.

Niina: That sounds a lot like Laurie.

Christina: I was like “Okay”. They also put on their good sides too. They are honest, loyal and devoded. I think when you get passed the more negative sides, he is extremely loayal. He stays loayal to Jo through out the years, even if it does not become romantic. He is still friends with her and there are times when I feel like he is pretty honest too with Amy. I need to find where I read about his Birthday.

Niina: I think we need to make another episode about Zodiac Signs in Little Women.

Christina: Yeah. Some people are going to be like Zodiac Signs are nonsense but there are people who believe or are interested, even if it is just for fun. Who likes this kind of stuff.

Niina: Yes. Even if you don’t believe in Zodiac signs, they can be a lot of fun.

Christina: It is one of those symbolism type of things, when you are writing a character, it can make a character make more sense.
